The cultural evenings at the Villa di Vico and especially the concert series, originated in the desire to create beauty and to offer it through art. The possibility offerd by the Villa di Vico, an historical building of the XIV century, and its music hall, made it possible for these events to be known and appreciated throughout the region. In 2013 the Concerts at the Villa di Vico reached its twentieth edition and has since the beginning had a great success of audiences and critics.
Anyone visiting for the first time the historic Villa di Vico cannot but be awed by the uniqueness and the perfect acoustics of the hall on the ground floor: the rectangular surface, the wooden ceilings, bare walls, this space relates to those great places that in the Renaissance and Baroque time used to host the Arts and those who wished to celebrate them in order to get closer to Beauty. The intention of Maestro Daniele Garella, Artistic director of the Concerts in the Villa di Vico, and Carlo Belli, Chairman of the Committee Vico, was, since the very beginning, to recreate that old way of making art -
Until now, the Villa di Vico presented about 250 artists in 87 evenings, in front of an audience that has particularly appreciated, besides the quality of the performances, the environment friendly, elegant and welcoming venue, the aura of silence and recollection that is immediately created during the executions. The concerts, as the evenings of theater and dance performances at the Villa di Vico have become a key event for many.
